It's funny...

How the little things in life excite me... but if it were not for the little things, life just wouldn't be worth living. Think about it.

The folks at Google have answered one of my prayers and have finally added the delete button to the Gmail interface. This is part of a longer list of features that I have wanted.

Official Google Blog: It's in the mail...

Frankly - I am having a hard time getting used to clicking that button - I am so trained (like the monkey that I am) to use the dropdown list to delete message. Ah well, with time my course will be corrected.

If you don't have Gmail, you should get on the bandwagon now - it's truly revolutionary. I am certain you didn't hear that here first.... but still, get while the gettin's good. Everyone else is just a wannabe.

I can hardly wait to see what is next... but I am HOPING that the next thing up is a keyboard shortcut for delete :)

C'mon Google - I'm waiting :)

Boy, you ain't kidding. I've starred so many messages in the last couple days it's not even funny. Guess I have to be retrained.

That's hilarious. I've been starring messages like crazy because I keep thinking that it's in the original place. I'm with you guys--awesome.

Yeah! The 'view unread' is a needed option for sure!

As for the delete button..I thought I went crazy. At home I had to use the drop down menu but when I got to work there was this button...I thought something crazy was a foot...

I have been using Gmail for over a year now and I am overjoyed when my friends get accounts of their own (esp. when they are my invites that get'em started...lol); also w/in the first day or two when I wouldn't see "the button," I started to panic when I couldn't find the "Delete" function in the drop down menu, well, im over that now and i use it w/ ease; i just wish that Apple's Mail app, in Mac OS X 10.5, will come w/ an "Archive" button just like Gmail's. Oh well, one can only hope...lol :P (Yes I am a Mac fan.)

Hm... I prefer it in the drop-down menu, as usually I do not delete the posts (exept mail-list descussions). Somewhat annoys me this Delete button -- is there any way to have in 'optional'?
