SPAM and the SEC

Well... first I have to say, the Gmail team does what I can only describe as "a truly amazing job" in filtering SPAM. Spending the better portion of my day concerned about the battle, this is a big one for me... I don't think there is a more accurate system out there (it doesn't take much to see that they beat the pants off of both Microsoft and Yahoo - but there's no shock in that).

Ahhh... I digress.

It's been a while since I have felt inspired enough to post anything here, but this is worth noting.

The SEC is halting trading on sites that are SPAMvertised... this is HUGE - in addressing the root of the problem. If there's no gain in it, there won't be any reason to send SPAM.

So to the SEC kudos... let's hope the rest of the trading world follows suit :))
